What Actually Stuck With Me From the Richard Robbins Masters Academy

I went to the Richard Robbins Masters Academy in Vaughan with the team this week, and instead of coming home with a head full of clichés and hype lines, I left with a clearer picture of what the next couple of years might actually look like for my clients. It also reminded me why I do things the way I do. Here’s the truth of what I took from it.

Trying to Understand Where the Market Is Heading

A big part of the event focused on the next few years. Nothing dramatic. No big predictions. Just a realistic look at what we might see.

The general idea is that 2026 will probably be a transition year. A bit of a correction, more stability, and then the usual spring activity that tends to push prices up. If that plays out, 2026 could be a good time for buyers to step in before 2027, which is projected to be stronger.

It’s not guaranteed, but having a sense of direction helps me support people better. I don’t like guessing or pushing urgency. I’d rather explain what we know, what we don’t know, and help people make calm decisions based on that.

How I Can Give Clients a Better Experience

One of the biggest reminders for me was how stressed clients can be even when things seem “fine” from my side. When you work in real estate every day, it’s easy to forget how overwhelming the process feels for someone who doesn’t.

My job is to slow things down, make things clear, and take as much pressure off as possible. Most of the time, the anxiety clients feel comes from not knowing what’s happening or what comes next. When I stay organized, communicate consistently, and walk them through each step, the whole experience changes.

I’ve helped a lot of people over the years, and the 70-plus Google reviews I’ve collected mean a lot to me because they show that this approach works. But I also know I can always make it smoother, simpler, and more predictable for the next person.

Why My Team Matters So Much

Another big thing the conference highlighted is how much easier my job is because of the people around me.

Joanne handles the behind-the-scenes chaos clients never see. Paperwork, scheduling, details, all the things that need to be done well and on time.

Lauren manages every part of the marketing. She’s the reason my listings look clean, professional, and consistent. She makes sure nothing goes live unless it represents the level of service we want our brand to stand for.

Brian creates the photos and videos that actually help buyers understand what they’re walking into. His consistency makes a massive difference.

And then there’s the rest of the agents on the team. We share knowledge, listings, strategies, and support. Real estate can be isolating if you let it. Being on a team that actually works together changes the way you show up for clients.

Growth and Getting Better Going Into 2026

By the end of the conference, the main thing I walked away with was this: I can’t just rely on experience, even though I’ve helped more than 200 clients so far. The market changes. People change. Expectations change. And so do the ways we need to communicate and support people.

I feel clearer and more focused going into 2026. Not because I think it’ll be easy, but because I’m committed to improving how I work and how I show up for the people who trust me.
